Fako America is pleased to announce the promotion of its National Treasurer, Dr. William Nganje, to the position of Associate Professor of Agribusiness and Finance in the Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics at North Dakota State University (NDSU) - Fargo.
According to reports from NDSU, Dr. Nganje's promotion - which comes less than 10 years since he began his teaching career - is no surprise because of his dedication and commitment to his job and to the NDSU community.
In the last five years, Dr. Nganje has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching and mentoring, among them, the Earl and Dorothy Foster Excellence in Teaching Award in January 2004 and the Outstanding Advisor Award for Excellence in Advising in April 2002.
Dr. Nganje's teaching responsibility includes courses in Agribusiness Finance, Non-linear functions estimation, and the Economics of Food Safety. His research areas are Agribusiness Management and Finance, and Economics of food safety. Major departmental responsibilities in student support services include, senior advisor for the Agribusiness Club and member of the graduate student committee. He is also a member of Joint ESCOP/ECOP Food Safety Task Force to identify voids in food safety, teaching, research, and extension in the United States.Personalized Mother's Day Photo Gifts
It should be recalled that Dr. Nganje, who is a founding member of Fako America, has also shown the same commitment, dedication ,and passion to the organization since its creation. In this regard, he has served FA in various capacities over the years. Most prominently, he was instrumental in setting up the Fako America Scholarship program, and has played a frontline role in making the program a huge success back in Cameroon.
He has also served as FA National Treasurer since 2002.
